Now We Need Our Community To Help Us Cross The Finish Line.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The Pembroke Public Library has always been more than a building - it is the heart of our community.

A warm, welcoming place where toddlers hear their first stories, students discover new passions, neighbors connect, and lifelong learners find inspiration.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors right here in Pembroke, we are 87% of the way toward making the new Children's Room a reality. The Foundation has quietly raised $2.3 million to date, with more than $1.5 million from our major donors, including Alan Peterson and his sister Linda, whose visionary leadership and deep commitment to Pembroke have inspired this project. The Peterson family has been part of our community for generations, and their contributions through town government and the Library continue to make a lasting difference.

This expansion is about so much more than adding space to a building. By expanding our children's area, our kids and teens will have the modern and dedicated space where they can learn, create, collaborate, and belong. This expansion will not only create a larger, modern Children's Room, but also enhance our well-used Young Adult area and create dedicated space for the historical records of our Town, making Pembroke's history more accessible for generations to come.

Libraries have always been investments in the future. Today, we have an opportunity to make that investment together. But we cannot do it without you. Every donation, large or small, brings us closer to opening the doors to a space that will serve not only the children of today, but generations of Pembroke children still to come.

Let's build more than a room.

Let's build a place where Pembroke's future can gather, learn, create, and dream.

Ways To Make A Difference

There are several sponsorship opportunities that we would be happy to discuss with you. All donations are tax deductible as the Pembroke Public Library Foundation is a charitable organization supporting our Library. We are also happy to explore other giving options that work best for you.
